I started a home-based freelance writing/editing business last year. I’ve discovered that, while it takes some discipline to keep my nose to the grindstone, it’s also sometimes hard to tear myself away for family time in the evening. Still, it’s rewarding to know that every day it’s up to me whether time or money is more important. (And there are some sweet tax write-offs for having your office at home!)

I find that using several different anti-spyware programs usually does the trick in keeping your computer safe and uninfected. Of course nothing is 100%, but if you use a few top programs your generally free of these things, if you do the regular check’s on your PC of course.

Thanks for the reminder! I have a small website, and I’ve always meant to write a few of these articles to help bring in traffic. I even used a helpful article I found on an article directory once as content on my site.

However, I do take issue with the idea of articles in an online directory bringing exposure to writers. Most paying online publications will recognize them for what they are and not give them much credence as clips. So my advice to writers would be to use them for their intended promotional purpose to bring traffic to your sites, not as a way to build a portfolio.

I agree whole heartedly with your advocating multiple forms of defense against spyware and other attacks. But it can be taken to far as well. I have seen many a computer that had so many programs installed that it barely ran. Or if it did run you couldn’t open something without a warning popping up.

I am a stay at home mom who is always looking to make money working at home. I have been scammed several times and it seems I only find data entry jobs that want an upfront fee. I will check this one out and keep my fingers crossed!

I totally agree with your thoughts. Now a days there are lot of data entry jobs out there that will waste your time but not pay a penny..it very important to check thouroughly what we are getting into. I do like some of the freelance sites that provide data entry jobs that are high quality and high pay.
